Electrics hung in New York

Date
 February 22, 2017

I’m now out in New York working on the Broadway transfer of The Play that Goes Wrong! It’s been an improbable journey to get this far, and I imagine we’re just starting another loop of the rollercoaster, with much unknown in the next couple of weeks.

Here’s the first picture from our new home, the Lyceum Theatre which is Broadway’s oldest continually operating theatre, and a treasure trove of history in itself. Four days into the fitup and the overhead electrics are all hung. As you can see it’s a hemp house, but even that system (that you’d expect to be largely the same as our UK equivalent) is used here in ways that are curiously different and seem at first glance to be slightly counter-productive. But it’s the way it’s always been… and I know I’ve still got a lot to learn.

Now do I have enough up there to get the job done?
